WHAT A WORLD

There are things unseen,... there are things unknown... There's a lot we don't know despite the realities life show us. The world in itself is a better place,... but the world doesn't exist by it's own,... we are here and with us and beings like us living on it,...its either the world becomes a better place or not.

Sea...renity

We had a nature trip last weekend. We had a 2-hour drive from the city of cebu going into one of its towns in the North called Tabuelan. Hidden behind its simple locality is a white sand beach called Durhan. The sea is welcoming especially the fine white sand one could compare with that in the famous Bora beaches. Funny thing is just that the sea water disappears every morning and afternoon and turns back to the tides at noon time when the heat of the sun is already searing through the skin. In the afternoon or early in the morning, the shore is so far you'll feel like walking on the same path Moses in the Bible had made when he strucked the red sea in half for the Israelites to pass by. And you may have encounters with sea creatures as well in the likes of Patrick (the starfish,... good thing Spongebob is not there) and Sebastian... even Nemo's relatives were there.... Nevertheless, its a wonderful experience to go there just make sure you'll take the opportunity of dipping into the water before its gone again in its daily sojourn... (I hate myself for not having to do that thinking that the water would never be gone)

I AM ZY

zai
I am Zyrille… often my name is misspelled or mispronounced, so people just call me zy, zai, zye or however they want it to be. I’m a certified “probinsyana” (province girl) and a certified “adventurer” as well. I grew up in a geographically big town wherein the local townspeople still preserves what we call the stereotypical traits of knowing and minding the businesses of others. So, after years of imprisonment in a “virtually” constructed world of the “tsismosas”, I went to Manila for college. I’ve always been fascinated with witchcraft. I’d like to think that in my past life, if there truly is a past life,… I was a witch or a priestess. I am a Catholic by religion. But this does not keep me from eyeing the flaws of the group where I chose to belong. If I were not a Catholic, I would be a Muslim… because I am impressed by the thought that Muslims kill and die for their faith… Am a feminist?... It’s a yes and a no….Yes, because I am a lover of womanhood; No, because I believe in purpose; that men exists so that women like us will appreciate our being women.
